One of the most common issues that comes up when scriptwriters discuss their pitching practices is “stealing ideas” and “intellectual property.”
These are two different topics and I’m interested now in finding out different opinions on the topic of “stealing ideas.”
There is one well known opinion that suggests that it is virtually impossible to steal someone’s idea when you present a pitch because technically you are pitching something that is void of details and specifics. In other words: It is absolutely impossible to “steal an idea presented in a pitch.” So, I can just relax and pitch to anyone my media stories?
    What do you think?

This is frequently a topic that comes up. My two cents would be that a brilliant idea is important, but it accounts for around 5%, execution is what matters 95% of the time.
